Robbie Igoe assumed the role of National Sales Manager North America at alkus on 1 December 2019. Alongside Kenneth Clisso (National Product Sales USA), the 53-year-old is now the local contact for all existing alkus partners in the USA and Canada.
Igoe has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and most recently worked for a manufacturer of concrete construction accessories. He sees expansion of the North American market as the next key step in alkus’ strategy of building a global high-performance business.
“My focus in the coming years will be on identifying new potential partners and customers in the USA and Canada and convincing them to switch to alkus® formwork panels,” explains Igoe. An important argument in his opinion is reliability: “In contrast to plywood or wood-plastic, an alkus® solid plastic panel enables more than 1,500 uses. alkus even offers an extensive 7-year warranty against the typical problems which beset plywood form linings, such as rotting and surface irregularities. Investment in alkus® is definitely a worthwhile one.”
